Aranxa "Aya" Orantes #119
Aranxa is a fourth year student studying from Hoffman Estates, Illinois. She is currently pursuing a degree in Criminology. She is hoping to continue a career path in investigative work. Aranxa highly values academics as she thinks that knowledge is the key building block to success and prosperity. Aranxa is glad to be able to apart of SLG due to the community of empowered and high value women who are successful in their careers in lives.
Erin "Athenea" Koster #121
Secretary
Erin is a Third Year Student from Fairhope, Alabama. She is a Geography Major with a concentration in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). GIS explores the spatial relationships of data through maps, and can be used to display the distribution of ecological, man-made, and demographic variables. Erin hopes to continue to pursue GIS as a means of analyzing social and environmental issues in graduate school and a PhD program. “SLG has given me so many incredible tools for personal and professional development, and empowered me to feel confident in working towards my goals and being who I truly am openly. More than that, SLG had become my family and I am so privileged to be surrounded by a group of intelligent, supportive, and strong women.”
Valentina "Aria" Cruz #123

Valentina is a Third Year Student from Romeoville, Illinois. She is a Public Relations/ Advertising major with two minors in Sports Communication and Latin American Studies. Public Relations, as defined by PRSA, is a strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their public’s. Valentina hopes to pursue Public Relations in sports, specifically women’s sports and eventually earn a Masters degree. Her interest of sports grew from playing soccer at the age of 12. “Without SLG I would have learned professionalism at a slower pace. SLG has allowed me to make endless connections with professionals in and outside of my field. I am grateful to this organization because it has shown me to break out of a shell I didn’t know I was in. Not to mention the relationships I have fostered with my own chapter, alumni, and other sisters/siblings across the U.S. Also, I encourage everyone to watch Women’s sports!”
Nancy "Beki" Batsukh #125
V.P. Of Finance and Community Service Chair
Nancy is a Fourth Year Student from the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. She is a Criminology major with a minor in Sociology. Her major focuses on the study of criminal behavior, the criminal justice system, and crime as a whole. Moreover, this major explores the impact of crime on society, causation of crime, and more. Nancy is eager to continue her studies and obtain a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice. "Prior to being introduced to SLG, I had no knowledge of Multicultural Greek Organizations. Once I learned about SLG and its principles, I had a strong desire to be part of an organization that not only empowered its members but embraced and celebrated different cultures. I have fostered many meaningful relationships with such intelligent and inspiring women, and for that, I am very grateful. SLG is an organization that has helped me prosper as an individual and I am confident that it will continue to do so throughout my future endeavors!"

Jackie "Ixthalia" Ramos #120
Jackie is a third year student from Highland Park, Illinois. She grew up in a Hispanic household - loving, appreciating and embracing her Mexican culture. She is currently in the Honors program, pursuing a Political Science degree with the intent to attend Law School and specialize in Immigration Law. Given her interest in Law, she is also part of the BA/JD 3+3 Law Program. Coming from immigrant parents, her goal is to help and give back to the immigrant community she grew up with. Jackie has always valued her academics as education has and continues to be one of the most important aspects of her life. She was glad to have found Academics as one of SLG’s five founding principles. With that, she could not be prouder to be part of an amazing multicultural organization empowering women and those around them.
Nayelli "Kaya" Toro #122

Nayelli is a Fourth Year Student from the Northwest suburbs of Illinois. She is an Industrial Organizational Psychology major with a minor in Business. Her studies focus on learning and development in organizations, such as developing and growing professional relationships. Nayelli hopes to pursue her Master’s degree in an area focused on Learning and Development. Throughout my life, I’ve always felt a deep sense of belonging and connection with my community, and SLG is the perfect avenue to further cultivate those connections. I look forward to being a part of an organization that pushes me to reach my fullest potential in all areas of life and to also create lifelong bonds with my sisters that will continue to thrive. I take pride in being a Gamma!
Alice "Arelíz" Carrera #124

Alice is a third-year student from Walled Lake, Michigan. She is a Real Estate major with a minor in Architecture and Urbanism. Her studies focus on urban planning and development. She is very passionate about this industry and her goal is to be a real estate developer. She decided to join SLG because she loved the idea of coming together with a group of strong women to embrace our diverse cultural backgrounds. Through this experience Alice has gained leadership experience and made lifelong friends! 💜⛓️

Yailen is a Second Year student from Chicago, Illinois, majoring in Marketing. She is passionate about understanding consumer behavior and developing creative strategies to build strong brand identities. Yailen hopes to use her marketing expertise to help businesses thrive in a rapidly changing digital landscape. In the future, she aims to pursue a career in brand management or digital marketing.I chose Sigma Lambda Gamma because of its multicultural foundation and the lifelong sisterhood it fosters. The organization’s commitment to empowering women aligns with my personal goals. While in my search for an organization that was right for me, interacting with active members confirmed to me that Sigma Lambda Gamma provides a safe, empowering space. I’m grateful to call myself a Gamma and to be surrounded by incredible women I can call my sisters.

Carol is third year student from Carmel, Indiana. She is currently pursuing a bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences (Pre-medical concentration). Her studies focus on the internal health of individuals as well as the general public health of all. Her post-college plans include attending medical school to be able to treat patients in a hospital setting and be able to volunteer at local clinics in lower income communities to offer free health treatment. “Surrounding myself with women who have gone through very similar life experiences and are working diligently to pursue a career in their field of interest pushes me to become my better self to reach my full potential of working hard to get what I want. The community is very encouraging and supporting that has me looking forward to being involved in the organization for the rest of my life!”
Manuela “Ominatleya” Bedoya-Hoeck #129

Manuela is a third-year student from Michigan, majoring in User Experience Design, a field she loves as it combines her passion for design and technology. She joined SLG (Sigma Lambda Gamma) because she wanted to meet like-minded women who are interested in personal development. Manuela appreciates that SLG is a multicultural sorority, as it allows her to connect with women from diverse backgrounds and cultures, enriching her college experience. She values the opportunities SLG offers for leadership, networking, and personal growth, and enjoys the strong sense of sisterhood and support that comes from being part of such an inclusive organization. In her spare time, Manuela enjoys working on personal design projects, listening to music and hanging out with her sisters!

Kaylee is a Fourth Year Student from the Northwest suburbs of Illinois, majoring in Elementary Education. Her passion lies in creating inclusive and engaging learning spaces where every child has a chance to succeed. Though she hadn’t always felt deeply connected to her community, Kaylee is eager to change that, and SLG provides the perfect platform to build meaningful connections while growing as a leader and educator.
